Paint companies have come out with their 2019 colors of the year and trends. There are a wide variety of colors this year ranging from many darker hues and colors that will remind you of the outdoors hoping to bring relaxation and peace into your home. PPG Paints
PPG Paints’ 2019 color is called Night Watch. According to the company, the color “is a rich, luxurious, and classic shade of green allowing spaces to emulate the feeling of lush greenery and the healing power of nature. Night Watch’s versatility allows the paint color to be used in a variety of rooms and design segments – from healthcare to commercial and residential design.”
PPG believes this color will be a good choice for a accent wall and would be impactful for any place without a view to bring the outdoors inside. Find more information about Night Watch here.

Ace Hardware
Ace Hardware’s 2019 Clark+Kensington Color of the Year is Pineapple Cream Granita. The color was created by a consumer during a contest last year. Ace’s color experts picked 25 finalists and left the final decision up to 35,000 fans who voted for their favorite color via social media channels. The winning color was created by Francine C., of New Jersey at her local Ace, Costello’s Ace Hardware of Lincoln Park, New Jersey.
Francine said, “When I created this color, I was daydreaming about enjoying a delicious dessert while on a relaxing vacation in Sicily with my daughter. The color is soothing and yet bright; sweet with just a bit of tartness. It was so much fun to participate in this process and I hope everyone loves Pineapple Cream Granita as much as we do!”

HGTV Home
HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams’ 2019 Color of the Year is Reflecting Pool, which is combined with a new color collection called the Sophisticated Whimsy Color Collection. According to the company, this color “is a versatile color that is fun and elegant.” Find out more about this new collection here.

Dutch Boy
Dutch Boy released its’ 2019 color Garden Patch. The color is meant to make people feel nostalgic and it should have a calming effect. The company said, “Garden Patch offers rejuvenation and peace at the end of the day in every room in the home.” In addition to the 2019 Color of the Year, Dutch Boy released three color pallets. Benjamin Moore
Benjamin Moore’s 2019 color is Metropolitan – a glamorous gray color. In addition to the 2019 Color the Year, Benjamin Moore also related a coordinating palette of 15 harmonious hues. View the entire collection here.

Behr
Behr’s 2019 Color of the Year is Blueprint. According to the company the color is supposed to conjure up the idea of blueprints that builders use to bring architectural designs to life. Behr stated, “Blueprint creates a space where you can build your own reimagined life—where awareness of what we want to build for ourselves can transform into action.” The company also released four different pallets that work well with Blueprint. Sherwin-Williams
Sherwin-Williams’ 2019 Color of the Year is Cavern Clay. It is being dubbed by the company as “Ancient, yet fully alive. Bohemian, yet totally refined.” The color is supposed to represent the sun and desert. In addition to the 2019 Color of the Year, Sherwin-Williams also released four colors to pair with Cavern Clay. Dunn-Edwards
Dunn-Edwards 2019 Color of the Year is called Spice of Life. The company says the color was “inspired by a celebration of what makes life interesting and exciting…. The elements of orange in the hue give a grounded, substantial feeling to design.” Learn more about the Spice of Life here.

Valspar
To celebrate the company’s 10 year anniversary, Valspar released 12 different colors for its’ 2019 Colors of the Year. The colors include: Metropolis Lilac, Angelic Blue, Green Water, Twilight Mist, Spring Squash, Martinique Dawn, Wishing Well, Blushing Bride, Seattle Haze, Lime Mousse, Homey Cream and Orange Slice.
