The summer months are the perfect time to make you and your guests a delicious drink to enjoy by the pool or beach. I’ve put together 6 drink recipes that I enjoy in the summer months. Not only are they tasty, they are refreshing too!
Pina Colada
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup ice
1/2 cup diced frozen pineapple
2 ounces pineapple juice
2 ounces Coco Lopez coconut cream
1 1/2 ounces white rum
1 ounce dark rum
Pineapple slices to garnish
Directions
Put ice in blender with frozen pineapple, juice, coconut cream and the white and dark rums.
Blend until smooth and frosty.
Pour drink into 2 glasses and garnish rim with pineapple slice.
Rum Sunset
Ingredients
12 oz. Orange Juice
3 oz. light rum
2 tbsp grenadine
lime slices for garish
Directions
Combine orange juice and rum in drink mixer. Set aside 1/3 of mixture.
Pour 2/3 of orange juice/rum mixture into 2 ice-filled glasses.
Set aside.
Mix reserved orange juice/rum mixture with 2 tbsp. grenadine.
Slowly poor into each glass so it settles at bottom of glass.
Garnish with lime slices.
Strawberry Daiquiri
Ingredients
4 oz Light Rum
1/2 cup Fresh Strawberries
1/2 cup Frozen Strawberries
Juice of 1 Lime
Sliced lime
Directions
Place in blender rum, fresh and frozen strawberries and lime juice.
Blend until smooth.
Pour into two glasses and garnish with lime.
Bahama Mama
Ingredients
1 oz Dark Rum
1 oz Coconut Rum
1/2 oz Coffee Liqueur
1/2 oz Grenadine
1 1/2 oz Pineapple Juice
1 1/2 oz Orange Juice
Orange slice and cherry
Directions
Combine rums, coffee liqueur, grenadine and juices in a shaker over ice. Shake until cold (10-15 seconds).
Strain into hurricane glass over crushed ice.
Garnish with fresh orange slice and cherry.
Sparkling Summer Peach
Ingredients
2 ounces Peach Vodka
1 ounce pineapple juice
1 ounce lime juice
1 lime slice
Sparkling wine
Directions
Add all ingredients except sparkling wine into a drink shaker with ice. Shake hard to chill and combine ingredients.
Strain into glass. Top with sparkling lime. Garnish with a lime slice.
Strawberry Basil Lemonade Cocktail

Ingredients
1 oz Gin
3 Basil Leaves
1 Large Strawberry
2 oz Lemonade
Ice
Club Soda
Directions
In an old fashioned glass, muddle the strawberry and basil leaves.
Fill with ice and set aside.
Add gin and lemonade to drink mixer and fill with fresh ice.
Shake and strain into the prepared old fashioned glass.
Top with a splash of club soda.
Garnish with a strawberry and basil leaf.
